CS 101                 Computer Orientation

Description:

This course is designed to give the students an orientation in the field of computer science and computer. It includes orientation of working of the hardware, software, operating system, operating different windows applications (Just a touch to the applications or give their brief introduction) applications such as MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint and flow-charting. Major part of the class must be spending in teaching the basic language used for programming purpose.

 

CS 179   Spread Sheets (MS Excel)

Description:

A thorough study of MS Excel, it includes using formulae such as (+, --, *,  /, Average, continuum, count, minimum and maximum etc), and it also includes the using of functions, Modules, Designing and controlling simple databases in MS Excel. The teacher should spend the major part of the class on teaching the functions and the students should also be able to develop short programs either for the school or for business companies.

 

CS 102   C++ Language

Description:

If the basics are done by the student such as (CS 101) than only this language should be given to the students. A study of the programming language C++. It includes the study of basics, wild cards, control structures, functions, arrays, points, strings and classes of data abstraction.

 

CS 121   Data Base I (MS Access)

Description:

This class should be given to the students those who have passed Excel CS 179. The student should be familiar with North wind. It includes the designing of a database with the help of MS Access. Making Tables, Queries, Forms and Reports by using MS Access. A project is due from the students at the end of the course (by using a practical example).

 

  CS 122                Computer Programming I (Visual Basic)

Description:

This class should be offered to the students in their 2nd year of the course, not to the 1st year students. A study of the designing of software using Visual Basic as the Front-end tool. It includes the use of Visual Basic Project, Working with forms, Basic ActiveX Controls and database programming with Visual Basic. A project is due from the students at the end of the course, developing a software using Visual Basic at the Front-end tool.

 

CS 123   Data Base II Oracle

Description:

This class should be given to those students only who have passed CS 122                Computer Programming I (Visual Basic). A study of designing and controlling of the database in Oracle. It includes a thorough study of SQL and PLSQL, Functions, Forms, Procedures, Visual Attributes, Creating toolbar and Menus designing and handling reports. A project is due at the end of the course (making a practical database in Oracle).

 

CS 131   Web Page Designing (HTML)

Description:

There are no professional requirements for this class. A student can take this class even if he has little knowledge of computer. A study of the usage of Internet and designing of web page on the Internet. A student should be familiar with the terms of Internet. It includes the designing and maintaining a Web Page personal or for the school or for different organizations. The major part of the class must be spent on teaching practical work and different tags of HTML. A project or Web Page is due at the end of the course (by using practical work that is thought in the class).

 

CS 132                Computer Architecture

Description:

A study of Hardware basically. But a thorough study of the computer Architect\Architecture. A student should be able to distinguish between hardware and software. It includes the study of different parts of computer. A study about all the major functions and parts of the computer. A student should know about branding and de-branding.
